Counterpunch - Israeli Lobby is in cahoots with the military industrial complex.

Tl;dr: It's a very convenient vehicle to get money into the pockets of the Pro-Israel politicians and the MIC also gets to have their business with those forever wars in the middle east. Trillions of dollars worth of money for wars in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen etc were all pushed by Israel. See Netanyahu’s Clean Break policy and book on terrorism.

Hard working American taxpayers have put $300 BILLION into ISRAELI pockets.

WHY?

Why? Why wouldn't our politicians exchange 100s of billions of taxpayer dollars for 100s of millions of dollars donated to fund their "campaigns"? This is a winning formula for beloved GOP and Dem politicians and a losing formula for the American people.

In case anyone is interested. Personally I won’t vote for a pro Israel candidate again.

Thank you for this.

I will vote only candidates that are not supporting Israel.

I have a dream.

No more US financing of Zionist genocide

No more dual citizenships with Israel

No more tourists traveling to Israel.

No more flights from New York to Ben Gurion.

Zionists are completely isolated and left to fight among themselves as rats on a sinking ship.

Can you articulate what the real issue is? IME Those who present themselves as pro-Pali and anti-Zionist are using the issue to express their dissatisfaction with some other issue. There is a reason why you see so many African-Americans, SE Asians, and Hispanics at these demonstrations. They don't feel empowered to complain about what is really bothering them and are using this conflict which to many is so far away as a safe space to complain obliquely about something else. I have a dream that people will have the insight to articulate what is really bothering them and stop projecting. It's so MAGA.

The thing you're struggling to identify is solidarity. People of color see what this is. We recognize our own oppression in it. And we stand with Palestine.

So Ukrainians and Chechens aren't oppressed.

Our politicians are almost to a person all owned by AIPAC. That’s what we were discussing.

I am grateful for the solidarity I see signs of. Many Americans are tired of being falsely accused of antisemitism for feeling the horror of our current Israel policy is over. We are done.

I would love to see more honesty about how much Harris and her strategists shat on the chance to win by shitting on Palestinian concerns, by shitting on Arab-Americans in Michigan, and by doing it again at the convention. She knew it was a risk and she decided to send her drunk teacher-impregnating-during-his-first-marriage, fake feminist, girlfriend-punching, broken dildo of a husband to Michigan and she thought she could brazen out ignoring this issue by expressly humiliating those who begged her to reconsider. But hey she’s on a book tour now and somehow actual progressives need to feel sorry for her. Trump was always a given. Biden was always a given. Harris had an off-ramp and chose to avoid it.

Kamala is a complete embarrassment.

According to the ADL if you want America first then your anti-Semitic. Therefore saying anything against AIPAC will make you anti-Semitic.

Not AIPAC.

It was published by the ADL.

https://extremismterms.adl.org/glossary/america-first

""America first" is a term that references the World War Two-era "America First Committee," and is used by extremists in antisemitic, racist and xenophobic ways. America First, in conservative circles, often refers to an ideology that was promoted by Donald Trump when he ran for office and served in office, which emphasizes American nationalism, nonintervention and anti-immigrant and anti-globalism beliefs."

I clearly remember her mocking pro-Palestinian protestors at a Michigan rally last summer and saying, "I'm speaking now!....."You know what? If you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I'm speaking."

Kamala Harris is good for Kamala Harris. Tell me when she ever was authentic and truly wanted to help people.

Can't wait to watch her latest money making scheme (the book) fail.

All but 10 members of US Congress take money from Israel. We are doomed.

So gross for our country to be controlled by MAGA idiots who are puppets for child-killing Israelis. What a filthy group of degenerates.

It's not just AIPAC. It can be lobbyists like the Democratic Majority for Israel, J-Street, or just a large donors like Miriam Adelson, Reid Hoffman, Ronald Lauder (Estée Lauder) or Howard Schultz (Starbucks).

And it is not just national level politics. Local communities are surveilled and pointed questions are asked of potential candidates at the county level.

For the first time, a majority of Democrats in the Senate voted to block arms sales to Israel.

https://time.com/7306765/democrats-senate-gaza-vote-israel-weapons/

Just 8% of Democrats approve of the of Israeli actions in Gaza. 32% of those polled approve of Israel’s war.

The hubris out of Israel at this point is stunning. You can’t systematically starve, maim and kill children, have those images be projected worldwide and, double down on the atrocities and expect the world not to turn against you.

At what point does Bibi get scapegoated, and handed over to the Hague.

Then how is it that all you Democrats picked super Zionist Kamala Harris to be President? Her husband is a Jewish Zionist. This would be AIPAC’s dream come true if they won. Not to mention that dork what’s-his-name works for the Chinese Communists.

Trump was actually elected. He is no less zionist than any other US politician.

American politicians aren't "Zionists". They are opportunists. If money was pouring into the DNC and RNC from Gaza, the genocide would be of the Jewish people. Get it yet?

Correct. With the exception of a few insane Christian Fundamentalists who are trying to bring the 2nd coming of jesus, our politicians are amoral whores.

Why are mortified Jews still fueling the genocide?

The pearl clutching is purely performative, apparently.

Completely performative.

International night will roll out at 100s of schools in the DC area and they’ll have their American children manning the Israel table full of appropriated Palestinian foods.

These people have no shame. If they did. They would have stopped the slaughter years ago.

I don’t want to see a single Israeli flag.
