The University of Arizona has a beautiful campus but it’s in Tucson.

Arizona State is in Tempe and it’s mostly concrete.

Yup. Was going to say the same thing. I've been on both campuses and ASU is not beautiful. Even if you're a Frank LLoyd Wright fan, the wedding cake is not beautiful.

ASU is beautiful in a different way. Let's just say it's not just the buildings that are stacked!

There has to be a distinction between beautiful campus and buildings and a beautiful campus because of the setting. As a PP mentioned, The setting at Pepperdine is unrivaled.

We have so many beautiful campuses in the US, to suit all tastes. Something we can perhaps agree upon!

It should be the actual campus landscaping & buildings. If the VIEW from the campus was important, then Alcatraz would be a beautiful park.

Nicest architecture - Yale. Most beautiful setting - Pepperdine.

I've never thought that campus quite comes together. Some nice spots and buildings, but not one of the best.

What a ridiculous comment.

Amazing view from every spot on campus > Beautiful Campus with no view.

Excellent additions. Thank you !

UCLA just feels like the quintessential college campus - it is perfection!

If you moved UCLA to New England in December, it would appear drab and undistinguished. The weather makes a huge difference.

There are other campuses in Virginia that are prettier - UMW, JMU, and Virginia Tech come to mind.

I’ve never seen UMW but saying JMU (I-81 U) and VT are prettier than UVA is laughable.

Here, let me help you with that:

UMW:

JMU:

VT:

Conveniently not picturing the ugly dorms and other 70s and 80s architecture of JMU or the fact that an interstate highway cuts right through the middle of the campus.

Oh, you mean at UVA? Here ya go -

Those are World Heritage Sites.

JMU has a lovely campus.

Completely agree.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I disagree. Royce, Powell, Janss Steps are grand and beautiful in any weather. YMMV, but I prefer UCLA's knockoff Italian Renaissance architecture to the Ivies' knockoff medieval/Oxbridge architecture. In the same vein, I'll take Italy over England for both architecture and weather.
