Where in particular?

DP

These are accessible to the masses:
Grand Arches
RMNP
Palasaides
Grand Canyon
Yosemite
Glacier National Park
Zion
Grand Teton
Olympic National Park
Grand lava tunes on the Big Isalnd
Maui (all of it)
Big Sur

I'm a rock climber and I've been to so many beautiful inaccessible places that I cannot count. Our country is by far the most beautiful. And I've been to 89 different countries - many beautiful, but none as diverse as ours. We have tropical and temperate rainforest, plains, mountains, deserts, valleys, rivers, volcanoes, salt flats, fjords, beaches, artic tundra - you name it - no country can even remotely compete with ours.

Grand Teton and Yellowstone are my favorites.

Rocky Mountain is also beautiful.

I would agree with posters who said:

Portugal
Switzerland
NZ
Norway

I would add Iceland if not yet listed here.

US has Portugal beat hands down.

Switzerland, New Zealand, Tuscany, Ireland and many parts of the US. The area around Jackson Hole is magnificent. But for sheer wonderment nothing is more breathtaking then being on safari in Tanzania and Kenya and seeing the great migration.

I shouldn’t be surprised really, DC people are unadventurous followers who like to believe they’re interesting.

Where is your list? Or you don’t travel at all?

I’ve been to all the places you’ve listed and lived abroad twice.

Nothing holds a candle to the breadth of America’s many beautiful areas. You’ve probably looked down your nose at traveling within this country and glamorized abroad.

Most of the US national parks are isolated so you don't get the beauty and the food at the same time. However I agree with you that we have some of the most beautiful places on earth.

I don't think you traveled much based on your list.
