Uhh, which part is confusing for you? Someone bisexual is attracted to both men and women. When they pick a partner, be they male or female, to get married to... that's it. That's the person they're married to. Nothing about being bisexual says you need to be in a relationship with BOTH a man and a woman at the same time.

It's no different than typical expectations for a straight man (or woman) would be... they pick a partner, get married, they are expected to stay loyal to that person. A bisexual person just has a potentially larger pool of people they are attracted to (though for some people, their partner being bisexual would be a dealbreaker, so that pool probably isn't as large as it seems).

But, why announce it? Seems very strange for married people to go public on something like this. Would you tell your spouse and the world that you are attracted to other people?

Just read the thread. It was a political play to get an endorsement from an LBGTQ group (Victory Fund) before the FCDC held its own endorsement primary in mid-2023. LBGTQ voters are disproportionately represented in the FCDC voter base.

McDaniel had been a Republican, and then an Independent. He wanted show he was now a true Democrat so he copied a page from the Laura Jane Cohen playbook. He’d run against her before and lost. She declared she was bisexual. He followed suit and got elected.

Hope the wife knew he was bi pre involvement. https://mombian.com/2023/11/10/meet-the-dozens-of-newly-elected-lgbtq-parents-who-are-part-of-the-rainbow-wave/

Minneapolis beats FX in braggadocio on who is what! Black, bi, and trans all in one!

Too much focus on who is with whom for sex. Meanwhile never knew Lady was gay. Don't care but I do care that all these fools have bungled the boundary review, waste millions, etc.

For those whose first instinct was just to cover their eyes because this story was first reported by the Daily Wire, it’s now getting picked up by other local publications. If you anything about Annandale Today, you’d know it’s a blog run by a liberal Democrat.

And the longer he is the chair of budget committee, the worse it looks for all of them.

So, McDaniel lacks character and integrity? He is in the business of saying what he thinks people want to hear in order to get what he wants? You just confirmed what we have been saying: he is a crook, and his public statement about these accusations are false. If he were innocent, and the allegations untrue, he would have filed a counterclaim against the plaintiff for libel. An innocent person would do just that, and a School Board with integrity would demand that he does it, or face removal.

Those seem like fair inferences, and one would hope he resigns on his own initiative.

Are you saying the School
Board can expel one of its own members? I haven’t researched that, but I’d tend to doubt it. They could probably adopt a resolution to censure him.

As said earlier in the thread, the school board can’t remove him. Neither can the board of supervisors. Only the voters can through a recall (a very challenging process).

Assuming that’s true there are a still a lot of Democrats who could lean on him to resign.

I remember that in 2019 when Moon didn’t get the Demovratic endorsement his initial plan was to run as an independent without a party endorsement. He allegedly backed off after Gerry Connolly and other local Democrats leaned on him not to run. He agreed not to run, and then got rewarded when the next School Board renamed the TJ gym after him.

Laissez faire, then? A man accused of $175,000 embezzlement, strip club visits, and corruption governs and chairs the budget committee for our children’s school district. We'll just hang out because it's too hard.

You are replying to me. I wish he would resign. I suspect he doesn’t have that integrity so hope the previous poster’s idea that local democrats will urge him to resign happens. Though I don’t like the quid pro quo story about moon and the basketball court. Hope that’s not true.

Doubt is was quid pro quo. Probably guilt on the part of the local Dems who didn't predict Omeish's scheme.

I didn’t say it was a quid pro quo. It’s a fact that Moon acceded to the wishes of other Democrats and did not run in 2019, and that subsequently when he was not on the board the TJ gym was named after him.

It appears he needs to provide a thorough rebuttal of the allegations or resign. This is simply unacceptable behavior, if true.

Isn’t there anyone on the FCPS school board who is not a criminal or villain ?

Perhaps a handful are just utterly incompetent? Also, I think Mcelveen is the most moderate, and I’m not offended by him.

Currently not sure, but I fully believe Megan McLaughlin was an actually nice and non-criminal person who meant well (even though I didn't always agree with her). And hey look, she's gone!
