To the woman with the PANDAS adult child find a provider who can order genetic testing to include something like intellxx. The regular whole exome testing doesn’t check for how functional the genes are. In finding many mutation SNPs on intellxx we were able to address those and dramatically help my ASD kid and my pans kid ( different interventions but both amazingly effective). I’m not sure if Rossignol group sees adults but I’d start there for someone who is likely pretty complex at this point. Wait is long fyi |
That's laughable. Its the folate. |
Thank you so much for your wisdom! Autism will now swiftly be cured. |
Tell me.. I haven’t followed all of the back and forth.
For my adhd kid (who hasn’t beeen dx autistic but his test resulted specifically state that he is no ruled out), and who I suspect has a level 1 mild autism… His adhd is not hyperactive. It is hyperfocus. It can look like stubborn choices and fixation on perfection/completion even when time does not allow. And he is currently unmedicated but we might be within weeks of trying to start something. He has many good days, in fact, many many people would see him as typical, classic smart nerd. But when they get to know him they see him melt down, etc. ***Is any of this something we can have an RX written and try out? Maybe even general Doc? Throw this at the issue and take notes on hehavior or his feelings?* I literally have not followed this but i keep seeing references to it. It’s too much for me to catch up on. |
Sorry for typos. I have my nighttime anti-blue-light filter on. Makes it harder to catch them. |
So many people's children are improving dramatically. You are so clueless |

Older parents make the children autistic or people with autistic genes tend to prize havinf children later than other more neurotypical people |
My spouse and I both have some social communication issues. We bonded over this on our first date. Neither of us would have thought we were autistic, but now that our kid is diagnosed I definitely see autistic traits in each of us and our families. Assortative mating FTW! |

This is very interesting and now the thought has to be with pregnancy supplements possibly being the cause.
Because most autistic and neurodivergent kids seem to come from middle and upper middle class getting proper supplements and care. Although I still think age of mother plays a very important part that society doesn’t want to admit.
I had my severely autistic DD at 30. DH was also 30. No autism diagnoses on either side of the family up to that point. It is known that older parents, especially older fathers is linked to autism

Older parents make the children autistic or people with autistic genes tend to prize havinf children later than other more neurotypical people
No they don't. Shame on you for spreading misinformation on a Special Needs parenting forum. Do you have a child with autism? |
