RFK Jr and the dead bear cub

Another lie. That video has a sweeping shot that rounded the table — amateurs don’t do that. The camera was mounted and not hand held. In that same camera move, the frame cut off his shaking, bouncing leg and moved upwards to cover his torso and edit out his leg. It’s really obvious.

He was so nervous!

I like the guy, he’s real in a way Kamala is not.

Yup, real stupid.

He's a toxic dumpster fire, but he's one step closer to ballot access in several states.

– Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is one step closer to being placed on the ballot in West Virginia for November’s presidential election.

According to Kennedy’s campaign, the former Democrat, last week, submitted some 19,000 signatures to West Virginia’s Secretary of State, well more than double the 7,947 signatures required for independent candidates. Kennedy, along with running-mate Nicole Shanahan, have already gained access to the ballot in 15 states. The campaign has reportedly collected enough signatures for six additional states, but has not yet filed for ballot access.

I think that the guy is a creep, but I don't get the outrage over the dog thing. No one seems to be able to explain how it is any different, ethically, from a pig roast or a clam bake.

They met thr Larry David. Larry David spoke at the wive’s funeral. Rfk junior had to get a court order for that funeral… after the order he quickly put it together.

A few years he hatched this interesting idea …. and convinced others to help him.

He is troubled.

He was dating Cheryl Hines before his second wife died. The wife was distressed and spoke to a friend about it. It's in the old Vanity Fair article. Cheryl Hines dated someone's old used husband. He's almost 70 so maybe he's slowed down on the cheating.

Oh I didn’t realize Hines was the affair partner. Takes a cold soul to break up a marriage with four kids and keep on when the wife commits suicide.

There were dozens of affair partners so admittedly it would be hard to keep track of she was one.

I agree it’s not an amateur video but it was clearly his team. He had been asked to comment on the New Yorker story before publication and he made this nutty ass video to get out in front of it.

Pretty sure there are multiple cameras, too. Nothing about this makes any sense.

RFK Jr.'s biggest donor is Republican Tim Mellon. He's basically just there to be a spoiler.

I think he's a raving loon, but still feel the tiniest bit sorry for him.

He and his siblings were basically feral and raised themselves (somewhat before their dad was killed, completely thereafter). There was no parenting in that household, so it's kinda miraculous that any of them turned out okay.

I think it's a mix of nature and nurture: many of the Kennedys (not just him and siblings, and the grandpa was like that too) seem to have a really strong adventurous, risk-seeking predisposition. Combine that with so many kids running around with both privilege and neglect, and it's a perfect storm for big bad behavior.

According to one news account, during the custody fight and divorce, the ladies ganged up in Mary in her driveway. Cornered her and pressured her. She had only visits with her kids and was acting very distressed. They thought it was a good time to influence her, corner her, make demands:

Who knows?

I wasn’t there. But Mary had friends and family.

They got pi*#%. They talked. I am sure they quieted down bc the kids are

.. the kids got older. And sometimes is best to heal old wounds in a family, for the kids sake.

You’re comparing dogs with clams.

Feral? With several Nannies? Attending Harvard university?

I am not saying that his childhood was easy but let’s not say they his challenges were remotely comparable to someone who didn’t have his money and family name.

I’m surprised the statute of limitations isn’t up, but if it’s not, why shouldn’t he face the consequences of illegally dumping roadkill and a bicycle and potentially faking a crime scene?

His story doesn’t even make sense. On a day when he was falconing, meeting friends for dinner, and catching a flight, he thought he’d find the time to skin a dead bear cub he’d happened upon? He was interested in the meat, but left it unrefrigerated in his car for many hours? His way of hiding something that wasn’t a crime was to stage a fake bike collision? Even his staging was dumb. If you hit and killed a bear on your bicycle, why would you flee on foot and leave your bike behind? Every part of this story shows terrible judgment and very questionable behavior.

Of course the statute of limitations is up. But, that has not stopped Alvin Bragg in the past.
This is a 10 year old case. Ludicrous that he would even consider bringing charges.
