Exactly. Harris is "multi-racial" you cannot or rather should not identify however you wish just for personal gain. Otherwise, what's wrong with having my SWM DS claiming to be "latino" because possibly his middle and last name could be construed as such? It has been tempting though so he could claim minority status because of the DEI movement. Which of course would be wrong.

I know someone who did this and got a college scholarship. So, sure while you "can" you should not.

One can identify however they wish. When someone is multi-racial, they can choose to embrace all, some or none of their multi-racial-ness.

It isn't up to you, or anyone outside of that individual, to decide.

You assume that everyone listens to what she says about herself. I work with a lot of Indians (I'm in IT), but I didn't know what "Kamala" meant because we don't talk about politics in the office much. I'm thinking a lot of people don't know what "Kamala" means.
