Have you noticed they never write what they do that earns them 7 figures. Probably because there are only a handful of jobs that pay 7 or 8 figures a year and a lot of those jobs are publicly known. You’re right it’s not a good look to cut down degrees from top schools. There’s a lot of that here. |
I agree. OP is clueless. |
Yawn. |
Yes, I am afraid of stupid debt. Why put myself in more debt if I don’t have to. These is other debt including car, house, medical, etc. why take on more if I don’t have to. You sound stupid. |
Smart decision. |
Unless you are in the DC part of DCUM. We don't have a state school, so there is barely a cost difference between OOS public and private and the privates give more merit aid. |
Better how and for whom? (Please don't say rank). |
We live in a good public school system. We are considering private schools for our children. I was comparing college admissions and our well regarded public school has so many students heading to UVA, W&M and VT. It made me wonder what schools those students got accepted to and could have attended that they gave up to attend the state public schools. |
There is a current social media trend about girls wanting guys in finance. This is where they will be. |
Sounds like cognitive bias. We can’t really know how our education helped since we could only take one path instead of testing two. |
Ugh. The “anti-semite” bullying tactic is dying a drawn-out, frenzied death. Thank god. Please keep overusing and misusing it … the sooner it’s finally dead and powerless to silence people, the better. And for the record, those “entitled brats” are defending defenseless infants in bombed NICUs, middle-aged women hurrying their elderly mothers across church courtyards, journalists, volunteers trying to feed refugees in a developing famine, entire families being victimized by political targeting, countless individuals being picked off by IDF snipers while following evacuation routes dictated to them by the IDF, and MILLIONS of other innocent non-combatants being terrorized by Israel. |
Because they need to be taken down a notch. God knows we all know who they are. They should remember there are many more of us than them. So zip it every once and a while. |
OP I think that it’s more important where a kid goes for grad school. No one cares where you went to college after a few years. I think the posters are right in saying that it matters what state you’re from… down here we have better public options that you did in NYC. Also, times have changed and 1- college is more expensive, and 2- harder to get into. Hence the change. People are always writing about this in your hometown newspaper, btw- have you read those pieces? Do you actually want to understand? Or are you trying to get everyone riled up? |
+1 I'm sure there are public college grads who are also earning six/seven figures. |
Lady: you got financial aid. Period. Donut hole families do not get aid. College is 4x more expensive than when you attended. |
