There is a lot of money to be made in club sports - if done competently. Which was not the case of the club mentioned. That doesn't mean there are not good coaches associated with that club, there are. But none of them are motivated by the money - and have real careers outside of lacrosse. They do it for the love of the sport. The two coaches that relied on their coaching gigs for support were the root of all the dissension and complaints. Serious mismanagement of funds, program, players and families. Glad there is new ownership - it is a move in the right direction! |
ST.J bought them but they are keeping the problems around and they are holding the same positions so expect no real changes as long as that's the case. |
Yes, BLC (blue and orange) will always take players. My friend's daughter was on blue and they added three new players mid-season to a full roster. if your player has skills, she will always have a place to go. BLC orange will also be very strong this year. |
Any club will ‘always take players’ if they are better than what they have currently. |
But did BLC blue take any players from their own Orange team or just poach a few from other teams? |
They added 3 players from MCE when it ceased to exist. |
2 joined after the spring MCE implosion. 2 from Pride, 3 from NL during tryouts. |
How big is that roster? |
BLC Blue 2030 has 27 |
I think it’s closer to 30 |
That's absurd. Can't develop kids like that. 20 is ideal, 22 max at this age. |
Will BLC 2030 split into an A team and a B team?
|
What a money grab. That’s ridiculous. I can’t imagine spending roughly $3k for a 30 person girls club roster. |
27 or 30 girls is fake news. BLC2030 blue has a 22 girl roster. Its lean and mean. |
Well, definitely mean. |
