Yes. I just have to roll my eyes at some of the hysteria here against the pill. If it wasn't right for you, nobody's forcing you to take it. But stop the nonsense that it kills every woman's sex drive. |
Countdown until someone name-calls you "dim" because they don't have any real answer in 3 ... 2 ...1 ...

The fact that the society is below “replacement rate” has nothing to do with anyone’s personal decisions about bc unless you are some kind of maternalist nutter. Ugh. |

Soy can turn on certain genes prompting breast cancer to grow. I have BC in my family tree and my doctor suggested I avoid soy. Pretty easy, so I’m doing it. |
I don’t see anyone saying “it kills every woman’s sex drive.” I see people pointing out it has many drawbacks that people call you hysterical for calling out. |
Did that happen in this thread, or were you just triggered by past trauma? |
Oh, I see the problem. You can’t read. That’s too bad. Nobody here has said once that the pill kills every woman’s sex drive. And if you think that was said, find the exact quote for me, thanks. Honestly. 🙄 |
Am I not a woman now? Not taking the pill and ALSO not having more children? There are some social issues that you're not seeming to include as factors as well. Marital rape wasn't even considered a thing during the times that you're talking about. There was also no morningafter pill. Birth control is absolutely a wonderful thing no one here is arguing that what we are arguing is that the pill is the only viable option and or that it is without risk and or side effects. I can honestly say that multiple gynecologists have insisted that it's all in my head that oral birth control makes me feel weird. I'll also state that I've had an IUD and it caused me to have ovarian cysts. I got it removed and the cysts went away. I think this is also more of a reckoning with women not just being willing to say my only options are oral birth control or multiple pregnancies. |

I will fight for the right for any woman to get the pill, but I will never take it again. Over the years I have tried several, and all killed my libido, and one made me suicidal. Hormonal medication doesn’t work for me. It’s not “right wing lies” that some people experience these side effects. Several of my friends also experienced the loss of libido - we joke about how it works is that it makes you never want to have sex.
Everyone is different. We need options and no government should be forcing medical decisions. So bring on the pill. |
…yes in the comment I’m quoting. |
