There is probably more to this story on both sides. If its a puppy, the puppy could have escaped from the house accidentally and the puppy's are nippy. We are extremely careful with ours but it got out a few times when we opened the door. Sometimes they think you are playing with them with quick movements rather than you being scared. |
Will you admit you are wrong? It is not a pit?? |
OP and her husband are the ones wanting to sue. |
|
OP just give an accurate statement to the police and keep medical records. I wouldn’t sue personally because I don’t want the hassle, but if your husband wants to, set a budget for it and let him go to town.
Your child was bitten and treated for injuries. No one is going to believe the dog owner. |
Under $300 but I guess possibly more as some is still going through claims. |
We did only because the owners would not willingly give us the dogs vaccination record. The police had to visit the home in order to obtain the records and thankfully the dog was up to date on vaccines. |
This was an older terrier. We received a copy of it’s vaccination and vet records and the dog is about 9-years-old. The owner was sitting on the porch. |
It was not a Pit. It was a 15 pound terrier. Thank God. |
My husband wants to sue. I am on the fence. My husband wants the dog owners to pay for medical expenses. The neighbors also filed a report saying I trespassed onto the yard and kicked their dog which made the dog react and attack my toddler. This is false. |
I hope you provided your child's medical records to them. Who knows what that poor dog was exposed to. |
Agree with you and I'm a huge dog lover. We have 2 big dogs and 2 small. In case of the dog attacking your kid you can go to court for medical fees and lawyer fees. They will be liable definitely. Has this dog been aggressive before? |
What is wrong with you? |
The outsole of my Hoka. |
Why didn't you call animal control saying their dog was off leash? |
The pit wouldn't have bit it would've eaten the kid and gulped down |
