| It’s for conventional loans. WTF this is insane. |
Although I don't agree with these changes, it is not insane. It is in fact completely sane. It fits perfectly with the political and social objectives of the current administration. |
It punishes people who have good credit and worked hard. |
It costs those people more than before, yes. Like I said, it fits with the policies and objectives of this administration. If you don't like it vote for someone else. |
I voted for this administration. I won’t make that same mistake again in 2024. |
Those people have greater ability to pay, and thus it is more equitable that they pay. I don’t know why anybody is surprised by any of this. The current administration was very open about their priorities before the election, and people are getting what they voted for. |
Equity in support of bad choices is not virtuous. |
| End result- much lower inventory, higher prices for existing homes. |
Or lower demand because monthly loan fees are now higher, so purchase price must be lower. I don't understand inflation - everyone seems to be able to cough up the higher prices without making any adjustments to spending! How is that possible? Demand is up everywhere, even though price is up everywhere. How can that be? |
The current administration won because Biden wasn't Trump. That's it. The majority did not vote for a progressive left administration. And Biden did campaign on being a pragmatic centrist, that was the entire appearance of the campaign, not as a progressive left candidate. That is why the large majority keep saying they don't want Biden to run again. It's only against Trump that Biden looks good. It is an odd political situation to be in. There's no real mandate and the administration governs via far reaching executive orders that implies it has large majority support among the population when that really is not the case at all. It's definitely a form of political abuse and taking advantage of people not paying close attention because all they cared was not having Trump in office. |
|
This won't help anyone.
A Biden taketh and keepeth. Did you REALLY think he cared ? For years the government wanted mortgage slaves hoping those homes would be foreclosed on before being paid off. Now you see why you need to pay off your mortgage as soon as possible. Then when your area starts going to s you can sell and move. Or not. |

I’m as liberal as you come. And you are 100% wrong. This is bad for everyone who has worked hard to be where they are. F Trump and F DeSantis. But this is a terrible policy. |
