What would you tell your child if they want to be an actor?

Definitely recommend a double major. I have a family friend in his 30s who made a break into Hollywood in sci Fi type movies in his 20s (he's been in big films but in a costume) and had some smaller roles in major films. He's also dating a major A list actress and director. The industry is brutal. The only reason he was able to make it work was because 1. His family is rich so he didn't have to worry about money that much 2. He lucked out with making connections through his college sport with a producer and was able to work behind the scenes and make connections before he made his break.
