| Exactly, you moron |
Moving to the District, paying $3k/month for your studio, and complaining about colonialism is pretty sad. |
| I swear that Nadeau is working for the Republicans. She absolutely trashed any chance we had at statehood. |
No better explication for why DC cannot have statehood than the fact that as administrators of the Federal city they cannot or refuse to keep Federal officials safe. |
| I love the idiot who thinks he’s under colonial rule. It confuses me because he seems very uncivilized? |
Please don’t dissuade them from more “I’m being colonized, moron” posts. They make me laugh. |
| True 😂 |
| In general, I love all the dimwits who start the sentence with “so you believe [something totally unrelated to anything PP said]” so they can then attack the PP for something absurd, patently untrue and reductionist [being a baby-hater] |
| Notwithstanding the multitude of serious national problems facing the country, the House finds the time to pass a resolution to “protect the integrity” of US citizenship in DC. None of them seem to be able to explain, however, how this is achieved by overturning a near-unanimous resolution passed by the elected representatives of the citizens of DC and, in the process, not allowing a single elected representative of the citizens of DC to even vote on the matter.. Perhaps if they were interested in upholding the value of citizenship here, they would honor the right of US citizens living in DC to decide who gets to vote in their own local elections and to extend to those citizens a representative who can vote in Congress. As things stand, Congress hardly neefeto worry about a broadening of the franchise undermining the value of holding US citizenship in DC since it seems to be fairly cheap already. But silly for me wanting House resolutions to make an iota of sense. |
