This is the second time this week. Stopping car commutes at least seems like a logically consistent form of protest for a climate change group. Do you think this is/will be effective? I've seen a lot less news about them than the truckers.

They’re not protesting for freedom, that’s why. In fact, they want the opposite of freedom. So their protest has official sanction.

Then why did they get arrested? And wouldn't official sanction (for a protest) be making a lot of noise about it? The point of protesters is to be heard.

I hope they expand their efforts dramatically and make it so no one can get anywhere without sitting stuck in traffic for hours. I hope we hear stories about kids wetting themselves while sitting on a stick school bus, people paying big late-fines for being late to daycare pick up, missed appointments and job interviews, getting pay docked off bring late to work, etc. I hope they block every major road in the area, every morning and afternoon. I want to contribute $$$ to help them!

If you weren't upset about 1/6, you cannot get upset about this.

Did Biden host a rally at Ellipse and encourage them to shut down the city until Nancy Pelosi will "do the right thing?"

They’re protesting for life. You’d think you right wingers would be on board! But your definition of “life” is actually just “fetus fetish” so this probably just bothers you.

What is their end game? More buses? Free electric cars for everyone?

Per the website seems like they want Biden to "declare a climate emergency now" although I'm not sure what happens after that?

No. It is not effective.

A warmer planet is not a dead planet, and climate change is not irreversible, so whether or not there is an emergency is certainly subjective.

Ikr? Just because humans for example, need water to survive, does not mean other species require much of it. Replace the thirsty humans with cacti and sage in our expanding desert areas and we are good to go.

Alternatively, just because humans can't live in water does not mean other species cannot.

Go look at the dismembered bodies of viable fetuses found in DC recently.

No, and they actually got arrested.
Sure sign they aren't republicans.

Did they have a permit? I understand it's fashionable to ask this now.
