MCPS has been told to review bus stops and move them to safe locations

They didn’t do it and now a child has died from the Boad of Education’s negligence.

When were they told? Who is in charge of bus routes? The department of transportation?

Are you talking about the death of an elementary schooler a couple of years ago, who had been let out at her bus stop near her home, and the bus ran over her? Or God forbid, has there been another death?!

While the death of the student was tragic, there are not many places that are safe from a car jumping the curb. I think the blame here is the dtiver...unless they were having a medical emergency,

Wrong
Safe bus stops exist and they aren’t on main roads.

Yes because the BOE doesn’t care.

A 7 year old who went to Ashburton ES was killed when a car struck him after it “left the roadway.” The child’s death was just announced.

NP.. that one had nothing to do with the safety of the bus stop area.

Both are true. Apparently the driver did not have a medical emergency, and was 100% at faultfor jumping the curb. Also, if the bus stop isn't a busy road where drivers go fast, then obviously you reduce the risk.

When the BOE doesn’t do their job children are injured or die. They are responsible.

Again, that incident had nothing to do with the safety or lackthereof of that specific bus stop.

You are not helping. You are actually diverting attention to the real issues.

My heart aches for that family.

I got hit by a car in my suburban neighborhood where the speed limit is 25mph. People don't always obey the speed limit.

What is the speed limit of where that happened?

Sure, I've been nearly hit on two occasions in my Bethesda neighborhood with speed limits. But it does reduce the risk, statistically speaking.

You are an idiot and know nothing about bus stop safety. BOE member?
