Spin off from a different thread, did this house really go for over $1.5m?

Thats just nuts. Westover used to be somewhat affordable. And I know the neighborhood is cute, but not $1.5m 3 bedroom cute.

Cute house.

It's close to Westover shops, and walk to Cardinal, maybe that drew lots of potential buyers to bid. 1.5 seems a little high, I would guessed 1.3 - 1.4

I heard that there were lots of bids, escalating to at least over 1.35. Insane.

Was the winning bid 1.35m? or do you mean there were lots of over 1.35m bids but the winner is higher?

But, but, but the "Amazon effect" is fake...

There were some people ragging on this house in the other thread, but it isn't bad at all. Smaller rooms than your newer builds, but perfectly reasonable space in a good location. Yes, it is expensive.

I’m confused - how do you know what it went for already? $1.5 is a huge jump!

You’re an idiot if you think this is related to Amazon. Do you know what an interest rate is? Morons.

Scuttlebutt. We won't know for sure until it closes, but the rumor is $1.5.

I live in the neighborhood and don't welcome it. I'm here for the long haul, and I don't need my property taxes going to the moon quite yet.
