Came across an article about it, and there's a link to the ball in the US, one in DC.

How popular is this event here?

Someone I know went to it and posted pictures on FB. It looked so incredibly cheesy.

The Bridgerton experience is incredibly popular in other cities. People had a great time. Thanks for posting.

Looks like its being hosted at Whitfield Entertainment Group Studios off the Rhode Island Ave Red Line which can host up to 5,000 guests at a time.

It sounded good from the description in the article.

Went last night with two friends. It was soooooo silly and fun. Weather was miserable and none of us wanted to get dressed up but we dragged ourselves to do it and it was worth it. Fav moments included lining up to present myself to The Queen (did my best curtsy), doing a line dance and shopping for swag. They also had a few costumes on display from the show. I was surprised to see how beautiful the fabrics were… particularly the fetherington items.

There were men there with wives/girlfriends and a few were even dressed up. You just had to embrace the cheese.

It wasn’t well attended. I’m sure the weather had a lot to do with it.

Did you dance? Or is it more of an opportunity to watch? Do people dress up a lot? That would make it fun.

Are VIP tickets worth it?

Do you have to do these activities or can you just watch?

Was it like a cosplay thing? That sounds soooo fun. I’d have to rent a dress, I guess. The food/drink would also have to be tasty.

I am going tomorrow and cannot wait. I have a regency ball gown and am looking forward to enjoying every minute of my favorite show.

I had SO much fun!!! Here are some +/-. + Timed very nicely with activities being staggered so there was no dull moment. The Queen's comments as you bowed before her were hysterical! This was my fav part. The insults are so funny as is the praise. I loved the musicians and decor. The dancing was fun as well as watching the dancers. They were incredible. The bathrooms were huge and clean. - The bathrooms are all gender. The Queen Bee leading dances was weird. They rush you out of there right after. I wish they had a social room you could just chill in for 30 minutes. No non-alcoholic drinks ( Doc's orders for me) and I was trying to buy merchandise but they only had S and XS. A lot of people were not happy but I got a tote and they had really cool eye shadow. It was expensive but I liked it.

I would go again. Friendly people, and 90% dressed up. I wore a double pannier Victorian ball gown with a fascinator and gloves with an amazing white haired wig.
