Hello,
I'm 32 weeks pregnant right now and experiencing pain on my right side. I feel that the baby's head is probably there and i'm in pain when i try to turn or move, and I really feel it when baby moves in that area. Has someone experienced anything like this and found a way to maybe help the baby turn so that it goes away? I've been massaging my stomach to see if he follows the spin, but so far nothing. Thanks a lot! |
Do you still have your appendix? Appendicitis starts as pain in the lower-right quatrant of the belly, and I believe is statistically more common during pregnancy. It's also often mis-diagnosed in pregnancy, because of all the "normal" aches and pains, so be sure to monitor your temperature carefully. A sudden fever is bad news. Like, call 911 bad.
Gallbladder is often pain in the upper right or upper center of your abdomen. It's not life-threatening, but can be really painful. A gallbladder attack will knock you on your ass for an hour or two, but usually subsides completely. I can't think of anything else really serious. But definitely pay attention to how the pain reactions to movement, diet, etc, so that if you do need to go in, you can give the doc the fullest picture possible. |
Hey there- Have you any idea how big the baby is at the moment? Is it like a stabbing pain? I had tremendous pain on my right side under my right breast for the last 3 months of my pregnancy and Im convinced it was because the baby was running out of room in there. Ds was born over 10lbs and was overdue by close to 2.5 weeks. I wouldnt worry especially if your OB isnt worried. But definitely let them know you are in alot of pain |
I had a pain on my lower right side starting about a month ago (where my ovaries are) and it turns out that I have a cyst caused by pregnancy. I guess they are fairly common during pregnancy and usually go away after the baby is born. The dr's are watching mine monthly to make sure it doesn't grow, but you may want to ask your doctor. I would describe it as a dull, aching pain. |
i have this too and am often awakened at night as a result of it, I wouldn't describe it as dull and aching though more like sharp stabbing pains, at times like I tore something, but when it starts I literally cannot turn over-it really hurts. My doc did can't find a reason for it. |
I've actually have been experiencing a similar pain for the last couple of weeks - I'm 29 weeks now. When I went to the doctor last week, I told her about the pain and she thought it might be indigestion. I've never had that before so I didn't know what it might feel like. She told me to take Zantac - and it WORKED! Indigestion can be very painful. |
OP here. Sorry took a while to reply back. I went to the doc the day the pain started. He examined me and said that it is definitely the ligaments streching, it is unplesant, but will go away. And it did go away that day. But I sometimes think that this pain has to do with constipation, because I am experiencing this a lot in the pregnancy, and every time my stomach gets full like this, the pain begins. Although, the doc said that its not constipation, because I would feel it on the left side rather than on the right side of the stomach. Someone else mentioned indigestion, and I think its related to that as well. |
