Is there a specific “honors program” at SJC or are honors classes open enrollment? Not getting any concrete info from the website. Thanks!

Yes, the Scholars program:

The SJC Scholars Program includes a freshman scripture class and I think an honors class senior year that are for the students in that program. All other honors classes are open to all students who qualify - test scores freshman year and grades in prerequisite classes thereafter.
There is the De La Salle Scholars Program that you must apply to as a rising 9th grader. However, with the exception of 9th grade honors scripture, which is limited to scholars program, all honors classes are open to other students if you test or are placed into them.
I think the nice thing about the scholars program is that it guarantees an on-ramp to honors classes/ap classes freshman year. And you get a scholarship.
Assuming you qualify by test scores for the honors classes, how rigorous are the classes? Is it a tough schedule to take all honors classes or should DC just pick one for 9th grade? Is the HSPT really that predictive of success in honors classes?
