AOS/AET scheduling issues

Anonymous
Can anyone explain the issue that is causing students who go to AOS or AET to have to take summer classes to meet graduation requirements?

From what I remember, AET students can't fit bio into their schedule so they have to take it over the summer. Like it or leave it.

AoS shouldn't need summer school, unless things have changed very recently.

Many students take PE, English, or History over the summer though so that they can fit in more STEM classes during the school year at their base schools.

They don't need summer school, but they are doing it to take an extra elective?
I'd rather my kid take PE in school, but don't understand the scheduling issue that he feels he has to take summer PE.

The issue appears to be that the high schools have a problem with their schedules where certain classes happen at the same time on the A/B day that AOS students will be at their base high school.
