How hard would this be to do in Photoshop?

I’m looking to hang a very specific stay of European forest artwork above my bed. I’m super particular about colors and tones for my artwork and nothing I’ve seen out there is quite hitting the mark. I did find this beautiful digital file of a forest and valley scene on Etsy, but it’s in black and white. Would it be possible to colorize it in some subtle greens and neutral tans via Photoshop? If so, how hard is something like this to do for Photoshop novices?

If it’s a photograph, it’s highly likely the photographer has the original in color. Can you just ask them?

It’s not, it’s a painting.

This will be harder than you think to look good.

Maybe you can work with the Etsy seller to create something for you? Many of them will do customization.
