i'm 8 weeks in, have brand new braces that make food tricky, and I'm perpetually turned off by food. I am eating oatmeal, yogurt smoothies with fresh fruit and cottage cheese with fresh fruit for the most part, and trying to get in meats and veggies when I can stomach it, but it's tough. Any good ideas on stomach friendly foods? During the first pregnancy I lost about 10 lbs in the first four months and while DS made up for it and was almost 9 lbs at birth, I'm a little concerned about what I'm eating these days. Any ideas? thanks. |
Sorry! That sounds rough.
What about indulging in some yummy soups? A nice veggie stew would soften the veggies, would that help? Or how about some yummy cream-based tomato basil? The kind at La Madeline is great. |
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am a little over 7 weeks, and have the problem of I feel I need to eat constantly to keep from feeling sick. I feel like I am going to be as big as a house before this is over.
I have been getting some protein from nuts and peanut butter, can't get enough peanut butter. Yogurts and granola bars have been my friends. I have done quite a few homemade chicken soups (you can use a roast chicken from the grocery store to speed up the process). This way the food is softened in the soup, and you can put in whatever veggies, potatos or dumplings you like. My partner is a great cook and has been cooking tons of this for me. |
