Birth control and TSH

I was prescribed birth control by my RE prior to starting an IVF cycle. 3 weeks later my TSH has gone up significantly! I have hashimoto's and last time my TSH was tested I was around 1, now it's at 8.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does this mean my IVF cycle will have to be postponed until my levels are under control? Was planning to freeze embryos from this cycle and do a FET within a few months.

My experience at SGF was that they will do an egg retrieval with high TSH, but they won’t do a transfer. I also found it useful to request that my TSH levels occasionally when they did other blood draws. That allowed my to convey any high values to my endocrinologist.

SGF seems unconcerned in general about thyroid health.
