Quarter grade v semester grade on transcript

New to US college admissions, so need clarification: do grades for all 4 quarters appear on transcripts or just semester grades? Thank you!

For college transcripts it would be based on whichever system they use, quarter or semester. Every grade from every class you take will also be listed, gpa is shown for each quarter or semester as well as overall gpa.

At my kid’s private, only semester and final grades are included (no quarter grades, though obviously what makes up semester grades).

And only current overall GPA is shown. When you get to junior year, you can request a copy of your kid’s transcript which I found helpful (even if I could glean the same info from his report cards).
