| A lot of times I just want half a banana. How can I keep the other half for the next day without the inside getting brown and mushy? |
|
Just buy smaller bananas. Or buy whole ones, they’re like the cheapest food out there.
This is what people worry about? |
| Impossible!! Or so says my toddler who wants exactly one bite of an unopened banana every couple hours. |
I already buy the smallest ones I can find. I don't like to waste food. |
| Put that little mofo in the fridge. |
| Put it in the refrigerator with the peel on. The end of the side that has been cut will turn brown. Cut this very small portion off and you will have a perfect banana. I do this all the time because I only use a half banana for my kids smoothies. |
Cut in half before you peel. The ends dries up a bit and you can cut it out the next morning. I do this every day. |
I don’t put it in the fridge either. |
| Freeze it. |
+1 cut half put the steam side with peel still on in decide. The only brown bit will will the sliver of the end. Cut of the litttle end and the banana is good to go days later |
This is what I do too. Then I thinly slice off the dried end the next day when I peel the other half |
Same. And no fridge. I suppose you could put plastic wrap on the cut end but I never do since I’m slicing off that bit. |
| Fridge in a seeled container. |
| Hang it. |
