First time expecting mom looking for pediatrician recommendations in Arlington or Alexandria area?
Thank you in advance! |
Hi - a word of advice, those are vastly different areas when it comes to having a sick kid. You'll want a pediatrician that's closer to your home, not their school. (maybe you are moving or something). Near arlington, Northern VA pediatrics in Falls Church City has been great for us for 13 years. |
Agree with above poster. You go to the pediatrician A LOT especially the first two years. Figure out the 2-3 practices close to your
Home and then reach out to them or post here. They used to have new patient info sessions where you could get a good feel for the practice. With covid those are probably on zoom now. Ask about emergency visits if your kid needs to be seen today. |
I have had a good experience with Pediatric Associates of Alexandria. |
Second this recommendation. They have an office in Alexandria and in Arlington. But also agree with the posters above - look for something close to home, with extensive hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends). |
CMA Alexandria has been great. Easy to get sick appointments and after hours advice. Agree with the other posters that proximity is key. |
Thirsting bith Pediatric Associates of Alexandria and the advice to find somewhere close. You're constantly going to the pediatrician in the beginning. I will say this practice has a lot of super early hours and I've often been able to get my son in same day, even on a Sunday. One time I accidentally showed up to an appointment at the wrong location and they managed to slot us in anyway. I've been happy with every provider we saw. |
