anyone have to deal with dental bone loss after pregnancy? Any luck regenerating bone? Don't want my teeth falling out
Went to dentist and got xrays done and showed significant bone loss. Mid30s, had some mild bone loss prior to pregnancy but dentist thouhgt because of grinding. I wear a guard every night. Gums never got inflamed during pregnancy but teeth felt sensitive at times and dentist said I don't have gingivitis and don't need scaling but gave me referral to periodontist. |
| One of the most unsettling things I learned about pregnancy is that calcium is the one nutrient we cannot generate for the fetus, so it either has to be supplemented or they pull it straight from your skeleton. In my grandmother's time it was conventional wisdom that you'd lose a tooth with each pregnancy (and mine lost two when she had twins). |
