You're put your coin in the slot. At least stick around to see if you hit jackpot. It's also great practice in handling rejection while still at home. Your kid can learn from how you process bad news. Win win.

Don't withdraw now. You can at least say you didn't leave any stone unturned/move forwarding knowing you left it all on the field, etc.

OP, what you are "waiting" for is unclear. Expect a rejection. (Withdrawal would be dumb.)

Dc should go ahead and start choosing between schools where accepted.
