Wow, what an amazing coincidence that the decisions happen to be ready the afternoon before a ten day long break.

Don't think it is coincidence. I've been observing and think that major ability test results or admission decisions usually come out when schools start a break. Maybe for parents to have time to chill out before reaching out to teachers/schools =))

Try George Mason psychological testing services. FCPS recommends them and trusts the results.

Make your appointment right away! It fills up before the appeal is due.

Are there other places to go to test for an appeal?

They are smart. Ten days not to listen to hysterical angry parent phone calls.

It also gives this a long time for it to become old news to the kids. By the time my son goes back to school, he'll be more likely to be talking about the day trips we took on spring break. We told him after getting the results because accepting a spot will mean having to change schools. We've reminded him that everyone has their own areas they excel and he wouldn't like it if the kids who are better at baseball and make a different team make him feel bad. I hope there will be no issues at school, but I'm grateful for the extra time for this to become "old news"
