Any thoughts on either of these centers for a 3 year old? We can make either location work. Need a 7am-6pm option. |
Georgetown Hill Bells Mill is excellent. A traditional preschool with a good mix/balance of play-based learning and academics (learning how to read, intro to math, etc). A lot of teachers have been at the school for a long time. |
We are at Georgetown Hill and I am so incredibly unimpressed. Hardly any outdoor play. The kids never go outside if there is the slightest amount of rain. Some teachers are still wearing gloves at the door and they are doing temperature checks and parents haven’t been allowed in the building for over two years. The school hardly ever communicates any information on their policies and has never asked for parent feedback.
To continue, the boy/girl ratios are also completely unbalanced. No effort from leadership to foster any kind of parent community. They do the bare minimum. The teachers seems very nice though. But leadership is mediocre. My older two children attended different pre-schools (we moved which is why we are at Bells Mill) and I regret sending my child here. |
