Doing better with weight gain this pregnancy?

Anonymous
Started at 110. I’m 28 weeks and 134 pounds.

Last pregnancy I gained 65 (!!) pounds. Easily lost it all, but trying not to repeat. I didn’t weigh myself regularly during my last pregnancy but know I was 164 pounds at the 37 week OB appt.

It’s not likely I’ll gain 30 pounds in 9 weeks, right? If I’m 134 now I shouldn’t get up to 164 again? I’d love to only gain another ten pounds but could be wishful thinking.

I’m similar to you- was about 115 pre pregnancy and got up to around 165 at the end. I’m 35 weeks into my second pregnancy and I’m gaining a similar amount. I don’t eat excessively but I guess I just gain a lot during pregnancy. I also lost it all pretty easily within 6 months with my first. Just hoping it all comes off. I figure at this point it’s going to be what it will be.

I found this website helpful: https://www.calculator.net/pregnancy-weight-gain-calculator.html With my first I gained 35 pounds and lost the weight just by breastfeeding. I’m 30 weeks now and on track to probably gain 35 again, so I think that’s just what happens. However, I could definitely eat better, especially with regards to sugar.
