| Need simple dinner ideas for teen and DH that they can toss together, maybe use microwave, other than TV dinners. Without having to cook meat or use a pot or frying pan. Help! I cook very well, but will not be available to do it and unable to cook and freeze in advance. |
| Sandwich? |

nachos
bagged salad |

Baked potato & chili. Take 2 russet potatoes, poke all over, place in the microwave, and cook for about 15 minutes. Split them open, open a can of chili, scoop half onto each potato, and microwave for another few minutes until everything is hot. Add shredded cheese & sour cream.
Quesadillas can also be done in a microwave. |
| Rice bowls. Get a bag of pre-cooked rice. Split into two bowls, and add frozen veggies and canned beans. Heat 3-5 minutes in the microwave until everything is hot. |
| There are some decent canned soups out there now. That alone wouldn't be enough for my teens or DH, but add a bagged salad or some cheese & crackers and they'd be fine. |
| Take-out? Cereal? I guess I don’t understand the restrictions. They can’t boil water for pasta because they can’t use a pot? |
| Can they bake frozen lasagna, chicken tenders, etc. in the oven? |
|
I make lunchmeat wraps at home: siete almond flour tortillas (or your favorite tortilla), lunch meat, cheese, heat it up and add some spinach or lettuce and sir Kensington’s chipotle Mayo.
I also like the rice bowl idea. |
| Get an air fryer. They can make tons of stuff in one. |
|
Trader Joe’s orange chicken with Trader Joe’s microwave jasmine rice. Microwave steam in the bag broccoli.
|
| Appreciate all these suggestions, thank you. Keep it coming! |
No because they are averse to pot washing. I know, ridiculous sloths. Lol |
This is…sad |
Baking on a disposable tray works! Just not raw meat. If it's meat, they won't bother. They aren't vegetarian though. |
