| I had my tank emptied overnight. Anyone else have this happen? |
| Wow, I’m sorry. It has not happened to me, but I keep seeing news reports about it. And many have been that aholes are drilling through the tank to drain it. |
| Lol. Where are you? DC? |
| Why? |
| Were you at the mall? |
Really? |
| OP…I certainly hope the tank wasn’t drilled. Is that an expensive repair? I am in VA inside inside the beltway (a nice residential neighborhood). The car was parked in the driveway. We have had some car break-ins in the past but this is new… |
About 3k depending on the vehicle and it’s age. |
|
Has that started already in this wealthy area? I'm surprised.
I assume your vehicle is large enough that the thief hoped he'd get a lot of gas? |
|
i hate criminals. anyone who does things like this can go to h=ll!
|
|
likley tank drilled or suction line removed from fuel pump and tank sucked out that way. all modern cars in the lat 20 years have anti-siphon valves/blockers to prevent this...
but yeah I hope there is is a special place in for thieves |
Congress? |
|
| meant to add hell special place in hell |
| How did the thief gain access to the tank nozzle? Did they pry open the little door? Sorry OP, people are terrible. |
