Yup, EA deferred now waitlisted. Def a pattern for us. All EA turned into WL.

Look at common data set in their website.
I will say you have to be top 5% of the class.

Judging by the experience of a friend, an in state applicant with a 34 ACT/3.9 UW is not a sure thing (deferred EA, accepted RD).

1460 3.8UW Local private HS, plenty of APs.

Reject outright. This was 2 years ago.

For a couple of my childhood friends who still live in GA, and their kids go there, they still had to be top of their class and accomplished. Cool thing is it’s 100% free in state if kid meets certain thresholds - and theirs do. Have to admit I’m jealous.

Agree that it’s a fabulous deal instate. We have a family member who is only paying room and board. But that’s a big reason why it’s gotten so competitive to get in.
