Is there anyone else who has done multiple cycles at Dominion and noticed a change for the worse in how they do things? It feels like a factory now. I did cycles there in spring and summer of 2021 and did another one since the new year started. Last spring and summer it was unusual if I didn't have one of the doctors at morning monitoring. Now the doctors hardly do any of the monitoring. The nurses/MAs do almost all of it. I didn't see my doctor in person once during my whole cycle until 5 minutes before my retrieval, and if my retrieval had been on a weekend then it's possible I wouldn't have seen her at all in the whole cycle. The nurses also kept telling me to take a medication that wasn't part of my cycle. I don't know why things changed, but Dominion is different now and it's not a good thing.
I am on my 3rd round there and am so frustrated. "Factory" would be a positive. If I don't call, email, pester or prompt them... they just sit around. It takes MONTHS to get a new cycle started. My IVF Coordinator doesn't seem to be following my cycle or handling the details. For each round, I have to pester them to do what they are supposed to. My sense is they just don't care... I am on 3rd round and it's taken 18 months. Totally disorganized.
18 months is a long time to put up with that. I would have left for a new clinic. Good luck.
I am surprised dominion is like this - shady is definitely a factory but they get better results. move out of dominion
I'm the OP. Dominion didn't used to be like this. Over the course of my experience there, it has changed. |
