| We are planning a quick stop in Vegas this summer en route to a longer national park trip. We'd like to take our kids (10 & 12) to a show - maybe a magician or Cirque du Soleil - while we are there. If you have specific recommendations for that age group, please share. Also - are there cheaper tickets available last minute for these, or are we better off buying now? |
| Make friends with someone that lives there and have them go with you. Vegas is 50-90% cheaper for locals. |
| Following- I will have one night with a 12 yr old and was wondering the same |
Can you tell me more about this? Is it that they can buy discounted tickets somehow? We know someone who lives there but wouldn't know what to ask... |
They unload unsold tickets to locals and some they have a block of tickets reserved for locals. Each venue has different specific rules. To prevent scalpers from taking advantage of this they only do them as will call tickets and the person that bought them has to be there at pickup with local id. So while they don’t actually have to go to show with you they do need to meet you at will call window about an hour before show. Also some restaurants offer huge discounts to locals on slow nights. There are a couple of golf courses DH really likes in Vegas. One course he pays $375/round and his best friend who lives there pays $55/round. Another course should be about $225 if he goes with his friend that lives there they each lay $75. |
| We loved Mat Franco with our 12 and 15 year olds. |
