Teachers, how is the writing SOL graded?

Just wondering how the 8th grade writing SOL is graded--I heard there is a multiple choice and a separate writing portion. Is each part worth 50%? Who reads the written part? When do the scores come in? What is a passing score? |

| 400 IS A PASSING SCORE-ELA teachers around VA will grade them. In this case it will be 8th grade English teachers. 2 different teachers will grade the test. I think the writing essay is worth 24 points and the MC is 30 points. |
