I don't know and neither do you. There's usually not one thing that stops something. It's usually an accumulation of small things. Many Russians still think this will all just blow over soon. Many other Russians are resigning in protest. Moreover the purges have started.

Most importantly though, it's to show Ukrainians that we still care.
