Frozen ground wild boar

Any healthy and tasty ideas for what to do with a pound of frozen ground boar?

I don't have a specific recipe, but some of my favorite restaurant meals have been wild boar ragu dishes. If you want to limit white flour pasta, you could sub roasted cauliflower and/or a different pasta with more fiber. It's more of a winter dish than spring, though.

I’ve never had boar. Is it super flavorful? I’m jealous!

I have a friend who grew up really rural. His dad would butcher people's meat for them. He had a garage sized building with butcher saws, tables, refrigerators, etc. Hunters would come with their deer or whatever., and pay him to cut it up I asked him what wild pigs taste like. He said they taste "game-ey". Not near as tasty as pork you can buy at the grocery store.

Cinghiale!!!!!

Essentially a ragu over pappardelle. Beyond delicious.

don't they have gamey taste?

FYI, pronounced Chin-gwa-lay

Many recipes online, just marinate the meat overnight and make the ragu the next day. Fresh or dried pappardelle or tagliatelle is fine.

Essentially a strong pork taste, marinating overnight with garlic, rosemary is key.

Boar is strong so I agree with the pps who suggest a ragu or other flavorful pairing. Otherwise it tastes like reheated barnyard.

I find game meat to be slightly offputting, so I vote for strong seasoning to drown it out. I'd probably do tacos. (This is also why I prefer my game meat ground - easier to doctor.)
