I don't like the short life span of dogs

| I know I have to accept it. I loved mine like family and cried when my last one passed on more than I cried for relatives that had passed on before. May sound crazy but I would happily give up years of my life if I could add them to my pups life. |

Yep. We are on dogs 7 and 8 in our life. As much as it hurts to let them go, I can't stop myself from getting another. Number 8 unexpectedly arrived 2 months after putting our 12 year-old cairn to sleep (which about broke my DH). Our long-time wonderful vet said sometimes that's the best way to deal with the grief of losing a pet.
Our home isn't a home without them in it. |
