Have iPhone 8 Plus- buy 13 Pro now or wait till new phones come out?

I have an 8 Plus and will need a new phone soon. My initial thought was to get a 13 Pro now because we're heading out West for spring break and it'd be great to have a convenient excellent camera, plus I'd like it for my kids' sports, etc.

However, is it worth it to wait until the fall and get the 14 when it comes out? Or wait till the fall and buy a reduced price 13? I definitely hang onto my phones for as long as possible so I'm not a trade one in every 2 years kind of person. Current trade-in value for the 8 Plus is $160.
