What to serve with irish soda bread?

Anonymous
My family loves to get Irish Soda Bread every 3/17 and we prefer the sweeter version. We are in a rut of what to serve with it. We eat it at dinner, but don't mind having breakfast food. What do you serve with it?

PS - We don't eat beef.

We have it as a side and do breakfast for dinner. That’s when the Irish eat it….

This. Also butter.

Do you eat lamb? That would work.

If we are having white soda bread with raisins, we have it as a snack or dessert, with butter or jelly, and can be nice with tea. With dinner we tend to have brown soda bread (which we also enjoy as a snack).

We're having soda bread tonight with a turkey shepherd's pie. It'll be good to sop up the gravy with. Oh, and Kerrygold butter... a must-have accompaniment.
