Squeeze in IVF before 35?

Anonymous
I turn 35 ina few months and I'm in the process of getting ready to do medicated IUI in the next month or so. I was just comparing IUI vs IVF success rates per cycle and saw that there **maybe** a significant drop off in percentage of successful cycles after 35. Should I jump straight to IVF to squeeze in before 35?

What exactly do you think happens the day you turn 35? It's not like your uterus will turn into a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight.

It's a cutoff for statistics. Plus or minus a few months does not make a difference.

If you want to do shared risk the cost may go up. But that’s about the only effect.

You should jump straight to IVF just because IUIs tend to generally be a waste of time and money (unless there’s a male factor issue that can be solved for by sorting sperm)
