Trofast for toy storage or something nicer?

Anonymous
Looking for advice from those with experience. Should we just get the Trofast cubes from ikea because they’ll get trashed anyway or is nicer storage worth investing in for toys? My daughter is only 2. Thanks!

Yes, but they have cubes as well!

I preferred the open bins. DD likes them too as she can see all her toys and directly grab what she likes and then put them back. Amazon may have them cheaper.

Trofast worked well for us, and after 5 years was in perfect shape to pass down to someone else.

We have one of these and it's great. I was reluctant because it was so ugly, but it makes up for it with the improvement in mess/clutter. I had to enforce the organizational scheme at first at cleanup time, but once they got used to the idea that all transformers go in one bin and all trains go in a different bin and so on, there was no more dumping all the toys on the floor to find one thing. The one we have is a cheap piece of crap, but it has somehow lasted 4 or 5 years now. And I will be able to get rid of it guilt free when the time comes because I only spent $35 on it.

I see that the one PP posted is larger than ours was, hence not $35! We use some cube storage bins for larger items like costumes and stuffies.

OP here. Thanks for all this feedback! Exactly what I was hoping for. I’m going with the open bins, and found one that has a shelf on top, which is what I really wanted to be able to put her Hatch nightlight on top. Thanks again!
