What are the best tips for core training for positions that require a lot of movement (up/down from the ground), like a GK?
Burpees? Mountain climbers? What do you see that is effective? FWIW, this is my kid asking. I was not that kind of athlete so I have no idea. |

| GK need to be athletic and explosive. Get him a trampoline for the back yard. Have him play basketball as well in the off season. And year long work on plyometric exercises, sprint, and strength train. |
| Do you have the Peloton app? Lots of great core workouts there. I love the ones led by Emma Lovewell. Agree that playing basketball is great complement to soccer training, especially for keepers. It helps with both footwork and reaction times. |
