What are the best tips for core training for positions that require a lot of movement (up/down from the ground), like a GK?

Burpees? Mountain climbers?

What do you see that is effective? FWIW, this is my kid asking. I was not that kind of athlete so I have no idea.

GK need to be athletic and explosive. Get him a trampoline for the back yard. Have him play basketball as well in the off season. And year long work on plyometric exercises, sprint, and strength train.

Do you have the Peloton app? Lots of great core workouts there. I love the ones led by Emma Lovewell. Agree that playing basketball is great complement to soccer training, especially for keepers. It helps with both footwork and reaction times.
