| We are placing bids on two houses. One that goes to Wims ES and one that goes to Little Bennett ES. Which is better and why? Thanks! |
| Our DD2 is in K at LBES and we love it. I loved it better when my now HS DD went there as with covid, they have gone full stop. They do not do any activities, parties, no parent volunteering or anything. It is very sad. I really hope next year they come alive again as their holiday parties, make and take holiday market, science fair, Halloween parade, and other fun events were awesome. I am also a teacher and know that other schools are not like this during covid season. But, I did also notice teacher turnover at LBES. I have no clue what is going on but my DD loves her teacher, class and school regardless. |

Be aware that they've just started a new boundary study which will redraw elementary school zones in Clarksburg, so nothing is set in stone.

Here are the four new boundary options for Clarksburg elementary school #9. Note that parts of Little Bennett get rezoned to either Wims or Clarksburg in each option.

| Wims is an awesome school! My kids loved being back in the building this year. The staff and administration are great. It seems that everyone I know enjoys being a part of the Wims community. We are hoping we are not impacted by a boundary change. That would be terrible. |
None of the options linked above reassigns any Wims areas. |
But 3 of the 4 options reassign Zone L6 from Little Bennett to Wims |
| Kids are only in ES a short time and the most important thing is the actual teacher you get. |
Students are in ES longer (6 years) than at any other level. While I agree that the teacher is important, the overall school environment at ES is pretty important too. Some friends have kids in different surrounding schools and their experiences have been very different than my kids, who love our school. |

Two additional boundary options were released last week:

This is exactly the reason we moved to Howard county. Some of our friends moved to Frederick county as well. It looks like the schools and education standards are much higher than MCPS |
Huh? Howard County redraws their boundaries on a regular basis, much more frequently than MCPS. |
Pretty sure this is the same person who posts this comment on every MCPS thread, whether it’s relevant or not. No idea why they can’t find another hobby, nor why this one seems to amuse them so much. |
Gotta make the quota to get paid. |
Yet evidence supports the PP as being correct. Not to mention that boundary changes usually are associated with trying to ensure high educational standards via reduction of overcrowded spaces. |
