The 2020 Census undercounted Black, Latino, and Native Americans

Anonymous
Title says it all. Is anyone surprised? This was after all the aim of the Trump administration, right?

https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2022/2020-census-estimates-of-undercount-and-overcount.html

The results show that the 2020 Census undercounted the Black or African American population, the American Indian or Alaska Native population living on a reservation, the Hispanic or Latino population, and people who reported being of Some Other Race.

Yep. Trump went out at night (sneaking through the crowds of rioters and looters surrounding the whitehouse the whole summer) and sneaked into people’s homes while they were sleeping and tossed out their census forms so they couldn’t mail them back.

Yep. Trumps fault. That’s how it happened!

Or maybe, just maybe ... the now democratically controlled executive branch (that runs the Census Bureau) is pushing this narrative to try to get the outraged minorities out to the polls this November because the Dems know they are in trouble. That couldn't be possible ... could it?

Well that should make a lot of Trumpers feel better.

It was blatant what the Trump administration did with the 2020 census.

Seriously. This narrative that everything is "Trump's fault" is just absurd. Trump did have the citizenship question added to the census, and that's one reason many Hispanics failed to return it - which is concerning that there are so many non-citizens here in the first place. There was also a little something called a PANDEMIC during this time, that prevented many from bothering with it when they had far more important things to worry about. But again - must have been "Trump's fault."

Interestingly, the same groups were under/over counted in the 2010 census. Guess that was also "Trump's fault." So incredibly idiotic.

Yes - he added a much-needed citizenship question.

Wow, was it Trump who told you that he “did have the citizenship question added to the census”? Because he didn’t. The Supreme Court blocked him.

PP is a right winger; they believe whatever they’re told.

And Trump ended the census a month early after actively trying to wreck it.

Just another reason Republicans can’t claim to be the party of the Constitution.

There’s a Supreme Court decision that says he couldn’t add it, but OK. Click on links once in a while.
