Meat thermometer

Help! I can't seem to find a meat thermometer that works. Can you recommend one that is accurate?

I have gone through several and no matter how long the food has been cooking or what temperature, I can never get beyond 140 degree reading.

Go for the Thermapen. My DH bought me the OXO Termocouple because it had "great reviews" and it's also over $100 and I absolutely hate it. It's accurate, but everything else about it is the worst.
