best doctor/hospital for food allergy OIT

| DC, age 11, has multiple food allergies - peanut, tree nut, sesame - we are interested in doing Oral Immunotherapy and seeking recommendations for doctors/clinics that you may have had good experiences with? Any other advice going forward? TIA! |

My DS went to Freedom Allergy in Georgia for peanut OIT when he was 10. The practice specializes in food allergy OIT and patients come from all over the world for treatment. It's worth a Zoom consultation with them just to go over your options.
Also, it turned out that DS was not actually allergic to tree nuts, even though his blood tests and some skin tests were positive. His hazelnut allergy was due to cross reactivity to birch trees (which we've now addressed with allergy shots). In Virginia, we see Dr. Gadde of Allergy & Asthma Specialists of Greater Washington. They have an office near Tysons. |
